Job Opportunity: Projects and Web Co-ordinator, London Jewellery School

The London Jewellery School are looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join their staff team and co-ordinate crucial projects including the Diploma in Creative Jewellery, promotions for classes and managing content for their two websites.

Working Hours: Full Time (Mon-Fri 10-7pm)

Salary: £20,000 p.a. (plus £2000 training budget to spend on LJS courses)

About the Role:

We are looking for someone to join the team and co-ordinate some of the schools key activities including:

–       Diploma in Creative Jewellery www.jewellery-diploma.co.uk

–       Promoting specific classes both on and offline

–       Social media including regular Facebook and Twitter content and engagement with students in our networks

–       Maintaining and updating content and images on our two websites

–       Photography of classes, samples and students work

–       General office and studio support as being part of the team

They are looking for a bright dependable person to be involved in all aspects of the business including preparing orders, office management, customer service and much more. Job Opportunity: London Jewellery School Weekends Co-ordinator

The London Jewellery School are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join their team as the Weekends Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for opening up and coordinating all of the weekends activities including supporting students and tutors as well as performing administrative tasks, taking class bookings and basic photography of the weekends makes.

Job Description – Weekends Coordinator

Job Title: Weekends Co-coordinator

Time: 9am-6pm Saturday

9am-2pm Sunday

Salary: £16,000 p.a. pro-rata (plus £500 per year to spend on LJS classes)

Location: London Jewellery School, 213 Hatton Square Business Centre, 16-16a Baldwins Gardens, London EC1N 7RJ

Line Manager: Jessica Rose, Director

Roles and Responsibilities:

–       Opening up the studio and preparing for classes on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year.

–       Handling email, telephone and in-person enquires and bookings over the weekends.

–       Welcoming students as they arrive and providing excellent customer service to ensure they have an enjoyable experience throughout the course.

–       Supporting tutors with locating materials, printing class notes and administrative tasks

–       Taking and editing pictures of class work and LJS activities

–       Updating the LJS social networking sites over the weekend including facebook and twitter.

–       General tidying up and cleaning of the studio including hoovering, taking bins out, maintaining a clean refreshments area and general studio tidiness.

–       Occasionally dealing with tutors sickness or absence offering alternatives to students.

–       Liaising with the LJS General Manager over the weekends activities and passing on information needed for the week

–       General administrative tasks including preparing the post, membership packs, distance learning courses and gift vouchers. Proof reading, editing images and making small updates to the website

Personal Specification:

Essential

–       Reliable, approachable and passionate about jewellery making and jewellery training

–       Confident computer skills including; emails, microsoft office, using the internet, social networking sites and using mac computers.

–       Excellent customer service skills

–       Hard working and able to work from your own initiative

Desirable

–       Photography skills

–       Jewellery making skills and experience

London Jewellery School are Looking for a Specialist Wire Wrapping Tutor

We are looking for a passionate and talented individual to join our ever-growing team of professional jewellery tutors. This role would include teaching our beginners and intermediate wire wrapping classes and possibly evening classes, subject to availability. The ideal candidate will run their own jewellery business or work for a jewellers making wire wrapped jewellery. They must be able to use a range of techniques in particular using square and half-round wires as well as round wires to make finished pieces. For an example of the style of wire wrapping we are looking for please see the pictures.

 

The pay will be £110.00 per day class and £50 per evening class as well as entitlement to a whole host of LJS tutor benefits. All tutors need to be self-employed and cover their own contributions. We expect the successful candidate will work at LJS for 3-4 days per month on average.
